The emergency switchboard is a switchboard used in emergency situations and should be installed as close to the emergency power supply as practically possible.When the emergency power supply is a generator,the emergency switchboard shall be installed in the same location as the emergency power supply,unless this would hinder the operation of the emergency switch- board.

The emergency switchboard receives power from the emergency generator and distributes it to various emergency equipment throughout the ship.It controls and monitors the operation of the emergency generator set,and performs switching-on and switching-off control of the power distribution switches for each electrical equipment.
